How it works
Google Cardboard requires a few things to work. You will need a smartphone with a gyroscope; this is pretty much every modern smartphone.
The screen of the phone will work as the display for the content you are going to view, and the gyroscope works as a sensor which will detect movement, so the content, whether it’s a video or a virtual tour will follow your moves to show it accordingly.
You will also need the cardboard with the special lenses. These lenses have a specific size and curvature that allow them to act as magnifying glasses. What they’ll do is interpret how the content is being shown and translate it to your eyes so the entire field of view is covered.
As every activity that requires eye concentration, it’s important to take frequent breaks.
